Ashley Barnes is a sophomore at Bray-Doyle High School, and it is her first year of journalism. She is active in cheerleading and FFA, where she is the Treasurer of the Bray-Doyle Chapter. 

     Barnes is grateful for her friends, family, and church. In her spare time, she enjoys watching The Summer I Turned Pretty or the movie Just Go with It. 

     She has many dreams about her life, but one of the biggest dreams she wants to fulfill is going to Greece one day. 

      “I heard it is gorgeous there,” Barnes said. “I think it would also be awesome to live out my Mama Mia dream.” 

     After Barnes graduates high school, she wants to attend college and become a Physical Therapist. 

     Many people have inspired Barnes over the years, but a few that really stand out for her are her Nan, her mom, and her best friend Taryn. 

     “She (Nan) is one of my favorite people to be around,” Barnes said. “Taryn keeps me accountable, and she is always there for me. My mom is full of wisdom and helps me through my tough times.”
