Senior Spotlight: Macalah Turner

With just weeks left in the 2018-19 school year, the B-D Donkey feed staff will be featuring two seniors each week. Our first senior is our Editor Macalah Turner. Turner has been active in gymnastics outside of Bray-Doyle and has also enjoyed eating and sleeping over the years. Turner sat down and answered our spotlight questions.
B-D: When I was young, I imagined myself as…
Turner: I imagined myself as a professional zombie killer.
B-D: What is an accomplishment you’re proud of?
Turner: Getting accepted to East Central University.
B-D: What did you enjoy the most about gymnastics?
Turner: I had made so many new friends while doing gymnastics and also learned how to twist my left ankle in different ways.
B-D: What are your plans after high school?
Turner: I’m going to attend East Central University.
B-D: Where do you see yourself in 10 years?
Turner: I see myself married with 15 kids.
B-D: What is a favorite childhood memory?
Turner: Being forced to wear a lion costume and crying for like four hours afterwards.
B-D: What is a favorite junior high memory?
Turner: Leaving junior high and moving up to high school.
B-D: What is a favorite high school memory?
Turner: Going to Wal-Mart with a friend who had roller skates on and pushing me around in a basket.
B-D: What will you miss the most after you graduate from Bray-Doyle?
Turner: The friends that I’ve made, as well as the naps I would take they were the best.
B-D: What class have you enjoyed the most and why?
Turner: Mr. Tillson’s Journalism class, because it’s just a great class.
B-D: Who is your favorite teacher/faculty member and why?
Turner: I don’t really have a favorite they are all really good teachers.
B-D: What is your most valued possession and why?
Turner: A small heart necklace that was a gift from my dad.
B-D: If you had the opportunity to travel anywhere, where would you go and why?
Turner: I would go to the country side of Japan or Ireland. Both places are historic and from what I’ve seen both are beautiful.
B-D: If you could have one wish, what would it be?
Turner: I would wish for the ability to eat everything and never gain weight.
B-D: What are some pet peeves? What are your bad habits?
Turner: I don’t like when people don’t say thank you. I tend to avoid people that I know in Wal-Mart and other places.
B-D: What three words best describe you? How would you like to be remembered as you leave Bray-Doyle?
Turner: The three words that best describe me are tired hungry and clueless.
B-D: What are three things you have on your bucket list?
Turner: Eat the world’s biggest plate of spaghetti, to go across the seas, and also get a full 10-hours of sleep.
B-D: What are some words of wisdom you would give to the under-classmen?
Turner: Don’t try to be better than everyone else.
