With high school graduation right around the corner, the Bray-Doyle Donkey Feed staff proudly bring back the annual senior spotlights. The first senior being recognized is Jade Eldridge. Eldridge has been a vital part of the Donkey Feed staff for three years. She also was recently honored with a first place finish in the Oklahoma Camera Club’s photo contest with her photojournalism photo “Safe at third.” When not taking photos, Jade has competed in Cross Country and been a part of the Bray-Doyle Archery team. Eldridge took some time out to answer our questions.

B-D: What did you want to be when you were younger?

Eldridge: When I was younger I wanted to be a mermaid. 

B-D: What is an accomplishment you’re proud of?

Eldridge: I’m most proud of making the front page of the Marlow Review and also winning first place in photojournalism in the Oklahoma Camera Club Contest. 

B-D: What extra-curricular activity do you enjoy the most and why? 

Eldridge: I enjoy Journalism the most because it has taught me how to better myself in writing. 

B-D: What are your plans after high school?

Eldridge: I plan to go to college and major in Pre-Pharmacy. 

B-D: What is a favorite high school memory?

Eldridge: My favorite memory was going to Florida on an archery trip and getting to spend a whole week on the beach with my friends. 

B-D: What will you miss the most after you graduate from Bray-Doyle? 

Eldridge: I think, I’ll miss the routine of coming here everyday. I will also miss Journalism, and Mr. Tillson’s randomness on telling us news articles. 

B-D: What class have you enjoyed the most and why?

Eldridge: I have enjoyed Journalism the most because it has brought me closer to my surroundings and understanding why some things are so important to some people. 

B-D: Who is your favorite teacher/faculty member and why?

Eldridge: My favorite teacher would definitely be Mr. Tillson because he has helped me most growing to understand writing, and he shows all his students that he cares what they are going through. 

B-D: What three words best describe you?

Eldridge: The three words that describe me the best are  an introvert, easy going and sensitive. 

B-D: How would you like to be remembered as you leave Bray-Doyle?

Eldridge: I would like to be remembered as a person that is caring and just went with the flow. 

B-D: What are some words of wisdom you would give to the under-classmen?

Eldridge: Worry less about the drama. It is not worth it and you will just dig a deeper hole letting it get to you.
