Senior Spotlight: Mark Kilbourn

    Our second senior to spotlight is the Senior class president Mark Kilbourn. Kilbourn has been active in a lot of things over the years at Bray-Doyle being a part of football, basketball, baseball, archery and track every year through high school. He has also been active in the student council for three years. Mark “the killer” Kilbourn sat down and answered our spotlight questions.

B-D: When I was young, I imagined myself as…

Kilbourn: I imagined myself as the best.

B-D: What is an accomplishment you’re proud of?

Kilbourn Getting All-State in football is probably my biggest accomplishment because I worked really hard for that.

B-D: What extra-curricular activity do you enjoy the most and why?

Kilbourn: Football because of the aggresion it takes to play.

B-D: What are your plans after high school?

Kilbourn: I want to go to college and get a degree in Computer Science.

B-D: Where do you see yourself in 10 years?

Kilbourn: I see myself making bank or getting bread.

B-D: What is a favorite childhood memory?

Kilbourn: Playing little league football for Bray-Doyle and learning the game.

B-D: What is a favorite junior high memory?

Kilbourn: Having a winning season in just about every sport our freshman year.

B-D: What is a favorite high school memory?

Kilbourn: Hitting the game tying three in the final seconds against Maysville.

B-D: What will you miss the most after you graduate from Bray-Doyle?

Kilbourn: I’m going to miss everything. I’m probably going to cry when I leave.

B-D: What class have you enjoyed the most and why?

Kilbourn: Definitely Coach Whaley’s U.S. History Class, because there have been some epic arguments between Billy and Whaley.

B-D: Who is your favorite teacher/faculty member and why?

Kilbourn: Mr. Vines has taught me the way of life.

B-D: What is your most valued possession and why?

Kilbourn: My phone, I do everything on it.

B-D: If you had the opportunity to travel anywhere, where would you go and why?

Kilbourn: I would go to Hawaii so I could feel like I was in the Moana movie.

B-D: If you could have one wish, what would it be?

Kilbourn: I would get unlimited wishes.

B-D: What are some pet peeves? What are your bad habits?

Kilbourn: I don’t like people with bad table manners. It seems like I ignore people but i don’t because I’m deaf

B-D: What three words best describe you? How would you like to be remembered as you leave Bray-Doyle?

Kilbourn: The three words that best describe me are kind, athletic, and goofy. I want to be remembered as just a great all-around person.

B-D: What are three things you have on your bucket list?

Kilbourn: Travel to Hawaii, swim with the sharks, and make lots of money.

B-D: What are some words of wisdom you would give to the under-classmen?

Kilbourn: Cherish your time in high school, because you’re going to miss it when it’s gone.
