Ending hunger one Friday at a time

Bray-Doyle Student Council has come up with a healthy alternative for students between class. In between classes students have the option to come to the office for a quick pick me up of candy bars, cookies or chips. On Fridays however, the Student Council is offering a healthy snack bar between third and fourth hour.

Student Council sponsor, Mrs. Beth Hough said she liked the idea of giving the students a healthy choice in between classes to hold them over until lunch.

“I have a lot of students complaining about being hungry,” Hough said. “ All morning long and every day. We have other options for them, but this gives them a healthy option.”

The snack bar is at a reasonable price so students would have no worries of hurting their wallets too much.

“Everything is priced at a dollar,” Hough said. “Some items are two for a dollar. But everything’s a dollar.”

The snack has even a free variety for those who don’t want to spend any money or who had forgotten their money. Students have the option of picking up fruits like apples and oranges and bananas along the way if they want.
