Actions speak louder than words

Quiet, funny and sarcastic are the three words this week’s B-D Donkey Feed female senior spotlight Erin Archer chose to describe herself. While all three things could be true, Archer is more than that caring and helpful. For sure she’s a girl of few words, but Archer lets her actions speak for her. One the top shooters on the Bray-Doyle Archery team, Archer has helped her team succeed year after year. She sat down to answer our questions.

B-D: When I was young, I imagined myself as…

Archer: When I was young I imagined myself as someone who helped others.

B-D: What is an accomplishment you’re proud of?

Archer: I am proud of getting fifth place out of all high school girls at 2018 nationals

B-D: What extra-curricular activity do you enjoy the most and why?

Archer: I enjoyed archery because it was a team sport but also an individual one.

B-D: What are your plans after high school?

Archer: I plan on being an X-ray tech and drawing blood since that is what my life has revolved around for the past 11 years. Maybe one day changing over to teach new diabetics about what life is going to be like and how to take care of themselves.

B-D: Where do you see yourself in 10 years?

Archer: I see myself working in a hospital and helping kids.

B-D: What is your favorite junior high memory?

Archer: My favorite junior high memory is having knee surgery then going to an archery meet that same week and when I went to pull out my arrows I got stuck and couldn’t stand back up.

B-D: What is a favorite high school memory?

Archer: My favorite high school memory is sitting in mammy’s (Gina Archer) office and listen to Mr. Eades tell stories.

B-D: What will you miss the most after you graduate from Bray-Doyle?

Archer: I’ll miss going into mammy office whenever.

B-D: What class have you enjoyed the most and why?

Archer:  History through film because we’d get to watch movies.

B-D: Who is your favorite teacher/faculty member and why?

Archer: My favorite Faculty member is Mammy duh, if not her than Mrs. Debbie and Mr. Eades.

B-D: What three words best describe you?

Archer: I would say three words that best describe me are quiet, funny and sarcastic.

B-D: What are some words of wisdom you would give to the under-classmen?

Archer: Have fun while it lasts.
