
Braiden Poston was named this week's B-D Donkey Feed female senior spotlight.
Growing up kids have many different ideas of what they want to be when they grow up. A doctor, police officer, fire fighter, or teacher are just a few of the usual professions. For this week’s B-D Donkey Feed female senior spotlight, Braiden Poston, knew that she wanted to be a Veterinarian. Poston has been around animals her whole life and being in FFA and every Ag class with Mr. Danny Fisher has just continued to help her towards her dream. Poston has also been spending her spare time from school and working with her animals at home to work at Minson’s Veterinary Hospital. Poston took some time from her busy schedule to answer our questions.
B-D: When I was young, I imagined myself as…
Poston: When I was young I imagined myself as a Veterinarian.An
B-D: What is an accomplishment you’re proud of?
Poston: I am proud to get my State FFA Degree.
B-D: What extra-curricular activity do you enjoy the most and why?
Poston: I enjoyed FFA, because it has taught me to work hard and I have made so many friends through the program.
B-D: What are your plans after high school?
Poston: I plan to go to go to Cameron for my basics and then to transfer to OSU for my Veterinarian Degree.
B-D: Where do you see yourself in 10 years?
Poston: I see myself starting my journey in Veterinary Medicine and starting a family.
B-D: What is your favorite junior high memory?
Poston: Watching Joe and the boys always fight in AG class. There was never a dull moments with them.
B-D: What is a favorite high school memory?
Poston: Being able to get to have the Grand Champion A.O.B. Heifer my senior year at the Stephens County Show plus all the crazy FFA trips.
B-D: What will you miss the most after you graduate from Bray-Doyle?
Poston: I will miss all the caring people and how much I love my small town.
B-D: What class have you enjoyed the most and why?
Poston: I’ve enjoyed taking AG, because I have loved the experience that I have had, all of our trips together, and being part of an amazing officer team.
B-D: Who is your favorite teacher/faculty member and why?
Poston: Mrs. Anderson, she is so sweet and caring. She engourages her students and cares for everyone like all the rest of the school community.
B-D: What three words best describe you?
Poston: Three words that describe me are animal lover, caring, and dependable.
B-D: How would you like to be remembered as you leave Bray-Doyle?
Poston: I would like to be remembered as a person that was always willing to help and support others.
B-D: What are some words of wisdom you would give to the under-classmen?
Poston: Don’t ever forget the memories you make in your life. Never let people get to you and never give up. Be a leader and enjoy highschool while you can.
